Professor Adeosun was Head of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, University of Lagos, Nigeria, between August 1st 2018-July 31st 2021.

He facilitated the signing and operation of an MOU between the University of Lagos and TUT Pretoria South Africa. He is a Materials Development, Processing, and Characterization Professor and has over 150 publications to his credit. He has contributed to Ten book chapters and two full books. He was a PI of Unilag CRC and TETFUND-funded research.

Professor Adeosun has mentored to graduation fifteen PhDs and has five students under supervision both nationally and internationally. He was a visiting scholar at the Chemical Engineering Innovation Group Laboratory, Soochow University, Suzhou, China (August 10th, 2013), Department of Biomedical Engineering, Northwestern University Chicago, Evanston, USA (October 10th - November 9th, 2017), and at the Department of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, the Tshwane University of Technology Pretoria West campus, Pretoria, South Africa (November 13th - December 9th , 2017).

He has been appointed as an Honorary Research Associate to the Industrial Engineering Department at Durban University of Technology, Durban, South Africa.
